Hair Diseases Should Not Be Taken Lightly

Hair loss is a problem faced by all age groups of people today be it the youth or the middle aged or may be the older people. The problem of hair fall is increasing day by day and everybody is looking for a cure to this problem. But as a matter of fact there is not just a particular reason behind this problem. There may be multiple reasons and if one is able to know the precise reason behind this problem then its treatment would be much easier.

Hair loss may be due to fungal infections or may be it is in the genes of the individual that is to say that it is a genetic problem. A diagnostic test is necessary to find out the actual reason of hair loss. The test should be conducted to determine as to whether the hair loss is just bare hair loss may be due to dandruff or some fungal infection or the hair loss is the symptom of some serious disease which requires immediate attention and treatment. Hair loss may also take place due to a disease known as hypothyroidism.

Thus it should be immediately taken care of and treated. It is sometimes seen that even after treating this severe disease hair fall does not stop. But one need not worry about it. The hair fall stops after a certain point of time. What is more important is the treatment of hypothyroidism. There may be several other reasons for the hair loss.

The various hair diseases that are responsible for hair loss are:
a) Scarring Alopecia: this disease takes place because certain connective tissues diffuse together. Scales & lesions may be the symptoms seen due to this disease.
b) Alopecia Areata: this is another type of autoimmune disorder which causes severe harm to the hair of the individual. It starts with a little patch but can grow and show its symptoms further. This disorder can also occur during childhood. But it is a curable disease.
c) Anagen Effluvium: this is another hair disease causing hair loss. It occurs basically due to the chemotherapy taken by the cancer patients. But to be clear this is a curable disease
d) Androgenetic Alopecia: this is a hair disease responsible for hair loss in both male and female. It is also known as male baldness or may be female baldness. It is a commonly observed hair loss disorder. In men this disease leaves “bald spot”. In women this disease causes the thinning of hair.
